MV Technology Solutions Pty Ltd and its partner HaslerRail AG, provided the onboard Data Loggers (Hasler Teloc), Gateways (onboard railway routers) for the Adelaide train fleets. Including the analytics cloud platform (HaslerRail EVA+ - Rail Data Management) enabling secure remote access to train data, and real-time remote monitoring of predetermined events and alerts. No longer do staff need to locate the train in the yard, and manually retrieve event recorder data over USB or laptop, saving countless time.

The initial concept for simply having remote access to train data, has grown much further to enable remote diagnostics and condition monitoring on an in-service train fleet.

EVA+ provides insight to both Maintainers and Operators. Automatically capturing critical event occurrences, alerting your staff in real-time the who, what, where and when to speed up service recovery.

Such unwanted, but occurring Events may include;

-Emergency brake application

-Safety system isolated

-Signals passed at danger

-Incorrect side door release at platforms

-Speeding in restricted areas

-Wheel slip and slide

-Plus many more

More than 220 trains across Australia are taking advantage of EVA+ online fleet management to improve safety, operations and maintenance.

A big thank you to Snowy Hydro for taking us on a tour through the Murray 1 Power Station where we supplied 42 50kA Earth Switches as part of the upgrade. Thanks to the collaboration of Snowy Hydro, our MV Technology Solutions team and our business partners at Driescher Moosburg, Germany.

Murray 1 Power Station is the second-largest power station in the Snowy Mountains Scheme where each turbine is capable of producing enough electricity to supply over 95,000 homes! It's great to be a part of the largest hydroelectric scheme in Australia.

Driescher Moosburg, Germany is one of the leading global suppliers of Air Insulated SF6 free Medium Voltage Switchgear and Switching Devices from 3.3kV to 52 kV.

Providing innovative technology, flexibility and the highest possible quality have made Driescher one of the leading manufacturers in the world today, known for its high reliability and low maintenance equipment throughout all market sectors.

Ausgrid’s City Zone Substation was reaching the end of its design life and would shortly be retired. Diona was contracted by Ausgrid to construct new underground 11KV cables along a 1.8km route through the city CBD. This involved laying new conduits which would join numerous cable pits throughout the city. With the need to prevent water ingress in the pits Hauff-Technik mechanical press seals were specified in to meet the requirements of the project. Water ingress in pits has huge implications as it cost time, money, and labour to pump out. These are valuable resources which should be greater spent on other areas of the network. Thanks to the collaboration of Ausgrid and Diona over 800 Cable Seals were successfully installed on the Network. If these pits need to be accessed in the future there will be zero maintenance involved and massive cost savings for Ausgrid.
