Socomore PF Solvent is a high flash point, residue free solvent cable cleaner and degreaser for cable cleaning prior to cable joining. It removes greases, oils, soils, tar, and bitumen residues. It is suitable on high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) applications and leaves no residue after complete evaporation. Designed to IEEE Recommendations. Ideal replacement to traditional, fast evaporating solvents such as Trichloroethane.

Our range of cleaning products includes industry approved solvent cleaners for the Power & Telecoms industries involved in the installation of electrical and telecommunications networks, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of cables, tools and network equipment accessories, equipment and components and is used throughout electricity generation, transmission and distribution markets.

PF Solvent can be used for;

  • Cleaning of cables prior to cable jointing and before installing the sealing end.

  • Removal of semi-conducting insulation shield residue, silicone grease and dirt.

  • Fiberglass cleaner for hot sticks, trucks and other equipment.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of cable over sheaths, cable metallic sheaths, connectors.

  • Removal of bitumen protection.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of extruded insulation cores.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of moulded and extruded joint and termination components.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of conductor connectors.

  • Cleaning of very soiled joints/covers and transformer connectors, etc.

  • Preparation of cable end terminations/splices and construction of cable joints.

  • Cleaning, rebuilding, retrofitting and maintenance of large generators, transformers, etc.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of metallic and plastic tools on completion of work.

  • Cleaning and degreasing of electrical equipment and components up to 440kV.

Sakaphen SAEKA Cleaning Paste and Silico

SAEKA Cleaning Paste and Silicone Grease

Cleaning and contamination protection

Säkaphen offer two different cleaning pastes (SAEKA Cleaning Paste 80750 for porcelain-like and other surfaces, and SAEKA Cleaning Paste 83750 for plastic and silicone insulators).

The main benefits provided by the SAEKA Cleaning Paste are:

  • Prevents dust and continuous water films on insulators and protects against flashovers.

  • Extends maintenance cycles and reduces downtimes.

  • Suitable for cleaning and sealing of heavily soiled, smooth and scratch resistant surfaces in one pass.

  • Simply apply with a cloth and polish.

  • In areas with high humidity or air pollution, additional protection with SAEKA silicone grease is recommended.

SAEKA Silicone Grease 81750 is used for enhanced sealing in highly contaminated areas. It prevents the formation of continuous water film on insulators in areas with high humidity and protects against flashovers and destruction. When the air is contaminated with flue-ash or salts the additional protection of surfaces with SAEKA Silicone Grease is essential.

All of the above SAEKA products have the additional benefits:

  • 3 in 1 function: cleaning, sealing, protecting.

  • Easy to apply: no special equipment needed. Clothes / rags are enough. No special training is required.

  • Fast application: No drying time, no pre-treatment.

  • Physically harmless: There is no special protection needed.

  • No Environmental Pollution: The products do not contain any harmful ingredients such as solvents, detergents, etc.

  • No atmospheric pollution: No emission during or after application.
